Outstanding 4th Year B.Sc Nursing Results – Cauvery College of Nursing, Mysuru 2021-2025 batch

Cauvery College of Nursing, Mysuru, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), proudly announces the excellent performance of our 4th Year B.Sc Nursing students in the recent university examinations. The results reflect the strong academic environment and the dedication shown by both students and faculty members throughout the academic year.

A total of 50 students secured First Class, while 22 students achieved Distinctions, demonstrating the commitment of our students to academic excellence and professional development in the field of nursing. These results highlight the consistent efforts of our faculty in providing quality teaching, practical training and academic guidance.

The management, faculty and staff extend their heartfelt congratulations to all the successful students for their hard work and determination. We also appreciate the continuous support and dedication of our teaching faculty who guide students towards achieving their goals.

This remarkable result once again reflects the commitment of Cauvery College of Nursing, Mysuru in maintaining high academic standards and shaping future healthcare leaders.

Awareness Programme on Nursing Profession

On 18th January, students from Viveka Girijana Shaikshana Kendra, Hosahalli, H.D. Kote Taluk, Mysuru, belonging to backward tribal communities, visited Cauvery college of nursing and actively participated in an awareness and orientation programme.

The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the nursing profession, its vital role in the healthcare system, and the wide range of educational and career opportunities available in the health sector. The students were comprehensively oriented to all the courses running under the Cauvery Group of Institutions, including various nursing and allied programmes.

Detailed information was provided regarding the different nursing courses, eligibility criteria, duration, and scope for higher education. The students were also familiarized with the institutional facilities, such as well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, library resources, hostel facilities, and clinical training opportunities.

Faculty members highlighted the future career prospects in nursing and healthcare, both in India and abroad, emphasizing employment opportunities in hospitals, community health services, education, research, and specialized healthcare settings.

The programme included an interactive session that allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain confidence in considering nursing and healthcare education as a meaningful, stable, and socially impactful career choice. The visit proved to be informative and motivating, especially or students from tribal and marginalized backgrounds.

The programme concluded successfully, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to educational outreach, social responsibility, and inclusive career guidance for students from all sections of society.

Walkathon – Fit Mysore

On 11th January 2026 (Sunday), the University of Mysore organized the “Fit Mysore Walkathon” with the objective of promoting physical fitness, health awareness, and community participation.

The staff and students of Cauvery College and School of Nursing actively participated in the event. Participants engaged enthusiastically in the walkathon, contributing to the awareness campaign and promoting a healthy lifestyle. All participants were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their involvement.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for students and staff to practice community health advocacy, encourage fitness in society, and demonstrate collective responsibility toward health promotion.

MILK Dairy visit

Cauvery College of Nursing organized an educational visit to the Mysore Milk Union Limited (MYMUL), a unit of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), located in Mysore, on 08/01/2026. The visit was conducted for 1st Semester B.Sc. Nursing students as part of their community and practical learning experience.

The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with comprehensive knowledge regarding the capacity of milk collection, quantitative and qualitative assessment of milk, and the various stages involved in milk processing and production. During the visit, students were oriented to the procedures of milk procurement, pasteurization, packaging, storage, and distribution. Emphasis was also given to quality control measures, hygiene standards, and safety protocols followed in the dairy industry.

The students were accompanied by Ms. Mamata and Mr. Varun, Assistant Lecturers, who guided the students throughout the visit. The visit enabled students to correlate theoretical knowledge with practical exposure and helped them understand the importance of milk quality, nutrition, and public health. Overall, the visit was informative and beneficial, enhancing the students’ understanding of large-scale milk production and quality assurance systems.

Cyber Ethics and Cybercrime Awareness Programme

Cyber ethics refers to the code of responsible behaviour on the internet, similar to the responsibility expected in everyday life. In order to promote responsible and ethical online conduct, the department conducted a Cybercrime Awareness Programme on 5th December 2025.

The programme aimed to create awareness regarding various types of cyber scams and safe internet practices. The session was led by Mr. Anil, who provided valuable information on common cybercrimes, preventive measures, and responsible online behaviour. The programme helped participants gain a better understanding of cyber ethics and the importance of cyber safety.

MHN Programm

As part of the Mental Health Nursing clinical posting, the 6th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students conducted a skit on 20/11/2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital to create awareness about alcohol addiction, drug abuse, and their adverse effects.

The programme aimed to educate patients on the harmful consequences of substance abuse. The skit was both informative and engaging, encouraging active participation from the patients. Through this interactive approach, the patients gained better awareness regarding the side effects of alcohol and drug abuse. The programme also provided entertainment while promoting positive mental health practices.

Bharat Cancer Hospital Visit

The 4th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students visited Bharat Cancer Hospital and Institute of Oncology (BHIO) on 07/10/2025, as part of their clinical exposure. The visit was accompanied by Ms. Radhika and Mrs. Varun.

Bharat Cancer Hospital and Institute of Oncology was established in 1989 as a super-specialty cancer care centre, providing comprehensive cancer care services under one roof. The institution plays a vital role in delivering specialized oncology services and serves as a centre of hope and support for hundreds of cancer patients residing in and around Mysore.

Nutrition Programme

A Nutrition Programme was successfully conducted at Cauvery College of Nursing on 26/09/2025 with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of a balanced diet and healthy eating habits. The programme aimed to educate students on the vital role of nutrition in maintaining good health and in the prevention of nutritional and lifestyle-related disorders such as anaemia, obesity, and diabetes.

The programme included various educational activities such as health talks, chart presentations, and food exhibitions, which were effectively organized by the Second Semester B.Sc. Nursing students.

Overall, the programme was informative and engaging, and it encouraged participants to adopt appropriate nutritional practices and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Faculty Development Programme

A Faculty Development Programme was organized on 04/09/2025 by Mr. Chethan Ram on the topic “Importance of Skills and Personality Development.”

The programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Raj Kannan N, Principal, CCON, and Dr. Sri Kantaswamy, Dean, CGOI. Mrs. Deepthi, Principal, ACON, along with faculty members from Cauvery College of Nursing and St. Alphonsa College of Nursing, graced the occasion.

The programme was highly informative and professionally enriching. It enabled faculty members to gain deeper insights into effective classroom management, student mentoring, and the role of skill enhancement and personality development in achieving academic excellence. The session contributed significantly to the professional development of the participants.
